    Paul Bennett was one of the most prolific running backs in Point Pleasant High School football history. Bennett had a knack for the end-zone – scoring 18 touchdowns his junior year and 15 touchdowns his senior season.  He had 212 career points and had 23 touchdowns that were 29 yard yards or longer. His junior season he scored a touchdown in nine out of ten games. His junior and seniors seasons were two of the higher scoring Point Pleasant offenses at that time. He was awarded a scholarship to West Virginia University after graduation.
