H.R. "Dick" Herrig

Year Inducted: 2007

    Herrig played on the most prolific football team in Point Pleasant history. Dick scored 16 touchdowns his junior year and 17 his senior year and was given the MVP award. He was Honorable Mention on the All-State football Team as well as Honorable Mention on the National All-American Football Team. Dick played in the Ohio-West Virginia All Star Football Game. While in high school he played four years of basketball as a forward and three years as a center fielder in baseball. Upon graduation he was awarded a full football scholarship to West Virginia University. Following a few years of coaching he became an administrator in the Dade County Florida School system.
